As president and founder of Mantle Ministries, and host of the “Little Bear Outdoor Adventure Camp,” let me introduce you to a new home school family camp opportunity available for you and your children this year.

In Defense of the Family Camp is a vital hands-on training camp experience designed especially for Christian home school families, and is hosted by Mr. Steve Ringer. Most of you know Steve as Mantle Ministries' director and general manager. But what you may not know is that Steve Ringer also has a background in law enforcement, firefighting, and tactical training. I can't think of anyone more qualified than Steve Ringer to conduct In Defense of the Family Camp workshop sessions. Not only is Steve highly trained in self-defense techniques, he is a Christian homeschooling father of four, who presents a balanced biblical perspective of protecting the home and family.

Ringer's motto has always been “Safety First.” His teaching method often involves participation from the audience in demonstrations and role-playing for a hands-on, impactful approach, coupled with sound scriptural application.

Steve Ringer has co-labored with me for six consecutive years at the “Little Bear Outdoor Adventure Camp” for home school families at Horn Creek Conference Grounds in Colorado, where families enjoyed all the activities that this wonderful facility has to offer. And whenever Steve conducted family defense workshops at the adventure camps, we received many positive responses from parents who enjoyed learning basic introductory, as well as advanced skills, of how they can be pro-active in safe-guarding their home and family.
